Danielle Chang is the Creator, Host and Producer of Lucky Chow, the Emmy-nominated “Outstanding Culinary Series” now entering its sixth season (May 2024) on PBS. She is also an award-winning entrepreneur who has worked across creative industries (art, fashion, media, entertainment marketing).

Since 2010, Danielle has been the founder and CEO of LUCKYRICE, a marketing agency that celebrates Asian culinary culture. Under Danielle’s leadership, LUCKYRICE and its signature Festival series has expanded to eight key markets in the United States and has become the definitive voice for Asian culture today. Danielle has worked closely with luxury brands including American Express, Cathay Pacific, Remy Cointreau, Toyota to create experiential marketing campaigns and as a cultural ambassador.

A former Professor of Contemporary Art History with a masters degree in Cultural Studies/Critical Theory from Columbia University, Danielle is the author of “Lucky Rice: Stories and Recipes from Night Markets, Feasts and Family Tables” (Random House). She is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from diversity to entrepreneurship and creativity.

Danielle started her career at The New York Times, and later founded her own venture-backed magazine, Simplycity during the dot-com era. Her international experience includes working for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, managing the French luxury brand Assouline’s American agency business, and as CEO of Vivienne Tam, a Hong Kong-based fashion brand.
